Davide Peddis - Head of unit

M1 - M46

Objectives:
(•) Fabricate the newly conceived magnetorheological electrolytes (MREs) composed of a combination of functionalised magnetic nanoparticles and magnetic microparticles (MNP & MMPs) and aqueous or ionic liquid (IL)-based electrolytes called liquid metal salts (LMS).
(•) Synthesize (Cu,In,Ga,Se)-based LMS with ≥95% plating efficiency (Cu-rated).
(•) Assess experimentally and describe theoretically the physical and chemical behaviour of the MREs.

Main people involved: Pavel Kuzhir, Popi Trohidou, Sebastien Fantini, Rongying Lin, Chiara Lambruschini, Jean Pierre Miranda Murillo, Charlotte Hurel, Guilhelm Godeau, Marianna Vasilakaki, Diego Colombara, Phillip Dale, Michele Melchiorre, Serena De Negri, Simona Delsante, Georges Bossis, Adriana Saccone, Fabio Canepa.

Sascha Sadewasser - Head of unit

M1 - M46

Objectives:
(•) Define the geometry of the device enabling the remote manipulation of the MREs, based on analytical solution of Maxwell equations and finite element analysis.
(•) Design and microfabricate a first embodiment of remote magnetic controller in cleanroom environment.
(•) Validate the generation of 2-dimensional magnetic patterns.
(•) Implement a second, more advanced, embodiment of remote magnetic controller.

Main people involved: Nikolaos Ntallis, Tim Böhnert, Popi Trohidou, Pedro Anacleto, Joao Piteira, Ricardo Ferreira, Margaret Costa, Pavel Kuzhir, Diego Colombara, Davide Peddis, Sebastien Fantini, Phillip Dale, Fabio Canepa.

Phillip Dale - Head of unit

M12 - M48

Objectives:
(•) Identification of a rating protocol for MRE quality
(•) Demonstration of REMAP concept by additive electroplating and flexible subtractive electro(less) etching.
(•) Theoretical understanding of magnetic field-induced in-plane gradients of phase E concentration/diffusivity.
(•) Fabrication of the micropatterned solar cell device proof of concept (poc).

Main people involved: Sascha Sadewasser, Diego Colombara, Popi Trohidou, Rongying Lin, Pavel Kuzhir, Thomas Schuler, Marco Piccinni, Davide Peddis, Sebastien Fantini, Emiliano Costa, Pedro Anacleto, Nicoleta Nicoara, Georges Bossis, Fabio Canepa.

Lorenzo Dall'Oro - Head of unit

M1 - M48

Objectives:
(•) Establish IPR management plan.
(•) Train young participants on IP recognition.
(•) Advise the governing board on IP protection approaches.
(•) Design, create and maintain an effective modern website.
(•) Promote public outreach actions with active engagement.
(•) Benchmark REMAP’s concept.
(•) Boost IP by fostering knowledge exchange with industrial communities towards business-oriented exploitation of all REMAP’s IP with potential societal benefits.

Main people involved: All heads of units, Giuseppe Piscitelli, Andrea Toscano, Elodie Vila-Mateo, Ana Vila.

Diego Colombara - Project coordinator

M1 - M48

Objectives:
(•) Coordinate technical activities, incl. Quality Assurance (QA).
(•) Oversee legal, contractual, ethical, financial, data and administrative management of the Consortium.
(•) Prepare, update and manage the Consortium Agreement (CA) among the participants.
(•) Coordinate project meetings and communicate between the EC and the Consortium.
(•) Oversee (risk) mitigation strategies.
(•) Maximise the impact of REMAP’s scientific output through disseminations.

All people are involved in this work package.
